Nightly Riverfront

Riverfront sites back up to the Arkansas River. Some sites have additional sitting areas overlooking the Arkansas River. Sites #7-23.

Riverview sites are large sites with a view of the river out the rear of the site. Sites #1,3,4, and 5.

Reservation Information
  • There is a 2 night minimum for all reservations.
  • Sites are priced for 2 adults and 2 children under the age of 16. Extra adults are $10/night and children are $5/ night.
  • Deposits are non-refundable if canceled within 90 days of your stay.  If a reservation in canceled greater than 90 days of the stay, a refund of 50% of the deposit amount will be given.
  • No refund will be given for shortened reservations if changes are made within 90 days of the stay.
  • No refund for early departure regardless of reason.
Check in
  • Check in is from 1:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m.
  • Check-in prior to 1:00 or later than 7:00 p.m. must be pre-arranged with the office and will incur a fee of $25.
  • We will not park RV’s in sites after dark, please plan accordingly.
Check Out
  • Check out is 11:00 a.m.
  • Late check out may be available with prior approval from the office and will incur a fee of $10. Late check out is 1:00.  Unless arrangements for late check out are made in advance, RVs in their site after 11:00 a.m. on departure date will be charged for an additional night.

Mountain biking on hundreds of miles of trails, old mining and logging roads from our local 7,000 feet elevation up to 9,000 feet (higher than that you will run into the snow until summer).

Hiking on the Colorado Trail that winds along the Continental Divide from Durango to Denver, the Rainbow Trail that follows the Sangre de Cristo Mountain Range southeast or the Salida Trail System in Salida that goes along the Arkansas River and several small lakes.

Higher elevations of the Colorado Trail and Rainbow Trail will have snow until Summer.

Things to do - 04

Captain Zipline Tour – Fly on 8 different lines that zigzag across Lost Canyon for a total of 2,600+ feet. Learn the geology and history of the area and soak in the rugged beauty.

It is fun and exciting and very smooth. Practice on the bunny line before going out over the canyon. Open year-round. Meeting for the tour is 7 blocks away and less than 10 minutes to the zipline site.

Whitewater raft and kayak on some of the most incredibly scenic and exciting Class 1-4 on the Arkansas River.

The best rafting is usually from the middle of May to the middle of August depending on the water level.

Peak run-off is usually around the middle of June.
